A former Tallahassee mail carrier is accused of pocketing more than $10,000 dollars in bogus worker's comp claims.

Jacque Myers was arraigned in Federal Court Thursday. Court documents show Myers reported a work-related back injury in 2009.

Court documents say Myers received workers compensation payments of more than $11,000 over the next six months. Her attorney had no comment. Myer's next court date is April 12.

Why don’t other postal crimes get reported to the media? Why wasn’t the public notified when over $80,000.00 went missing (overnight) from the Centerville Station Post Office? May be it was because the people who are responsible were the managers. When something goes wrong it is always the managers’ fault. It says that in the manager’s handbook. Oh but we really want to know about an injured employee don’t we. Sometimes we are all guilty of overlooking the obvious.

Employees who suffer an on the job injury were humiliated and punished in ways that borderline on criminal by description. I have witnessed total seclusion from all other employees as well as from any daylight. In conjunction to the seclusion there are unbearably cold temperatures in the room where they were isolated. These same injured employees were not given any tasks to do and nothing to be productive. The only instructions or directives were obsolete safety manuals that they were to be reading at all times. For an entire day and each and every day to follow as it progressed into weeks and months this was their punishment. It was pure intimidation and harassment.

This lady is more honest than those who accuse her and by a long shot. Tallahassee alone has paid big settlements to employees for errors committed by local managers. $11,000.00 is a made up figure. It is B.S. compared to what the USPS will have to pay her once this is settled. Back pay and discrimination will cost at least $200,000.00 at least. Jackie is a saint compared to these managers. Trust me. I know. I was paid $17,000.00 for nothing. Along with dozens of others hundreds of thousands of dollars were paid out because of one manager who screwed up. Did he get arrested? Hell no! Where is your justice? If you believe this woman is guilty you are as ignorant as the government thinks you are.
