The campaigns of Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama are gaining a Spanish accent, and it's no surprise.

Romney's son Craig is becoming his father's translator.
In a television ad, he explains in fluent Spanish that his dad is a man "Con grandes convicciones," or "of strong beliefs."

The Obama campaign has recycled its 2008 campaign slogan, "Si, se puede," or "Yes, we can," for this year's run, in an attempt to retain the Latino support he received the last time he ran.
Because of the growing Latino population in some of the key battleground states...Latinos are expected to play a prominent role in this year's battle for the White House.
Out of more than 308 million Americans, more than 50.5 million are Latinos.

An official with the National Council of La Raza, says language alone won't win over Latino voters and says both campaigns need to encourage more Latinos to register to vote and must engage them politically on issues like job creation and the economy.
