Quadriplegic Man Says Caregiver Stole From Him

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- August 12, 2012
Police in east Georgia are investigating a report that a caregiver stole thousands of dollars from a quadriplegic man.
Richmond County sheriff's officials say the man told police that his in-home caregiver stole nearly $6,000 plus medication from him.
The Augusta Chronicle reports that police began investigating Sunday afternoon, after the 36-year-old man told them his nurse and three friends had taken his safe from his bedroom closet.
