Press Release: Quincy Police Department

In an ongoing effort to reach out to all sections of the Quincy public the Quincy Police Department is planning to meet with representatives of the area’s civic clubs and organizations. Much like “Service Above Self” which is the motto of the Rotary Club Chief Walt McNeil adopted the motto “Service Before Self” for employees of the Quincy Police Department. According to the Chief this reminds officers daily that the service that we provide to our community is more important than our personal agendas.

To reinforce the important role that strong civic clubs play in providing service, improving the quality of life in a community, and reducing crime the QPD will soon be hosting a meeting specifically for civic club officers and members. The date for this meeting has not been set however clubs such as Kiwanis, Lions, Rotary, Civitan, VFW, Optimist, and Chamber of Commerce are encouraged to contact the Police Department and inform us of the names of your chapter executive officers.

Anyone interested in attending this meeting should contact Asst. Chief Glenn Sapp with your club’s information at (850) 627-0134.
