Quincy Police say they're narrowing in on the man who they say robbed a Subway restaurant back in July,

Police say evidence collected on scene and testimony from a witness led them to 27-year-old Clifton Chavers.

Police say Chavers robbed two employees at the Subway restaurant on West Jefferson Street by gunpoint back on July 18, 2012. He made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

"We don't want the general public to approach Mr. Chavers. If you see him, he is considered armed and dangerous," says Quincy Assistant Police Chief Glenn Sapp.

Police say the Quincy-native was released from jail in May after severing time for burglaries.

They issued a warrant for Chavers arrest on Monday, August 20, 2012, charging him with armed robbery.

Police say he's is also wanted for a string of car break-ins in town too.

"I am surprised. Nothing like that really happens in Quincy and this is a very quiet city," says Quincy resident Johnny Harley.

Quincy Police are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to Chavers' arrest.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Quincy Police Department.
