Florida State University kicked off their Relay for Life event Friday afternoon. This year, the motto is "party for a cure."
Students were setting up all Friday preparing for the cancer fundraiser. Teams of supporters and cancer survivors will have at least one member walking at all times of the 24 hour event.
The relay will feature a "survivor lap," where all cancer survivors in attendance will do an honorary lap to celebrate their victories over cancer.
There will also be a luminaria lap that honors those who have lost the battle.
The Guinness Book of World Records will also be in attendance as the Theta Chi fraternity tries to break the record for most heads shaved at one event.
It all takes place at the FSU Sportsplex.
