WASHINGTON (AP) -- Sen. Marco Rubio says the government should give cellphone companies more airwaves and allow private companies to build a nationwide pipeline for oil and natural gas.
The Florida Republican on Monday also told Google's Washington offices that nixing dozens of taxes and regulations would create "thousands upon thousands of high-paying jobs."
Rubio also is pledging to defeat any efforts to limit access to the Internet and to allow private businesses to work with government labs to develop new products.
The pro-business message comes as Rubio looks to shift focus away from a stalled bipartisan immigration overhaul he helped to craft.
Rubio is a potential presidential contender in 2016.
