Tallahassee, FL -November 25, 2012

Some consumers are giving up visiting those crowded malls for shopping in the comfort of their homes.

Millions of people are expected to shop online during what's known as 'Cyber Monday.'

The day falls on the first Monday after Thanksgiving.

Retailers typically notice a spike in online sales during that day.

But some shoppers say they'll stick with shopping in person.

"Especially for clothes, either for gifts or myself, I prefer to try them on. I prefer to handle the fabric. Try on the things for size and look at the merchandise," says shopper, Lee Smith.

According to comScore, a site that tracks online activity, Americans are projected to spend around $1.5 billion dollars in online sales. That's up from $1. 25 billion last year.
