A local grocery store chain is looking to fight juvenile diabetes.
Fresh Market is organizing a 'Sidewalk Sale' where it's cooking up hot dogs and hamburgers and serving up root beer floats to sell to customers and raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Ninety percent of the proceeds raised go towards research to fight type one diabetes.
"Working with the volunteers that come out and help, I've learned a lot. It helps me know that we're supporting them and they're really happy to know that we care," says Celia Mancini , a Fresh Market employee.
The Fresh Market store in Tallahassee hopes to raise more than $4,000 this year. The 'Sidewalk Sale' goes from Friday, September 7 through Sunday, September 9.
