News Release: Leon County Sheriff’s Office
Tallahassee, Fla. -- On Saturday, March 1, 2014, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office will host a multi-agency Comprehensive Roadside Sobriety Checkpoint in the 3900 block of Woodville Highway.
The Comprehensive Roadside Sobriety Checkpoint will start at 12:00 AM and conclude at 2:00 AM. All traffic will be stopped.
Deputies from the Leon County Sheriff’s Office and Officers from the Tallahassee Police Department, the FSU Police Department and the FAMU Police Department will be checking drivers for signs of impairment while looking for tag or license violations, seatbelt violations and verifying vehicle insurance requirements.
These efforts are focused at reducing impaired driving while ensuring that vehicles are being safely operated in our community.
