Social Security Services Offered In Gadsden County

The official opening of the Social Security Video Service Delivery at the Gadsden County Public Library was held yesterday, May 13, 2014.

Guests included:

  • Commissioner Brenda Holt,

  • Commissioner Eric Hinson,

  • Sheriff Morris Young,

  • Representative Alan Williams,

  • Sam Palmer - President of the Gadsden County NAACP chapter,

  • Brad Lindsey (& staff)– North Florida Area Director, SSA

Also present was the Havana Senior Center, that decided to take their senior citizens on a ‘field trip’ to Quincy to see the social security video service for themselves.

Those in attendance were able to receive a live demonstration of the services offered at the library (See photo).

The service has been in use since April 16th, and over 50 people have taken advantage of the service so far.

Join the Gadsden County Board of County Commissioners, Social Security Administration and the Gadsden County Sheriff's Department at the Official Opening ceremony for a live demonstration and introduction to video and online services.
