Mitchell County, GA - A southwest Georgia teacher's action land him in handcuffs.
Dennis Hill, a teacher at Pelham High School is accused of sending explicit text messages to minors. He was arrested Wednesday morning on Computer Pornography and Child Exploitation chages. The 41-year-old high school teach was sending suggestive text messags that he wanted to have sex with a freshman girl at the school.
"During the investigation we found out that there was at least one more victim that Mr. Hill had been sending lude messages to as well as sending and receiving lewd photographs," said Rod Williams the Chief Investigator for Pelham Police Department.
Parents in Pelham were disgusted to hear the news.
"I don't know what I would do, but I would be terrible upset about it and I'd have to confront somebody especially him," said Tony Cain who is a parent to a student at Pelham High School.
Pelham Police said in their investigation the found the Economics and World History teacher, who was in his third year at the school, was asking students to send nude pictures to him.
"The text messages were sexual in nature and asking for various body part photographs," said Williams.
"That's wrong, that's wrong for anybody, especially the kids because they're the ones that are getting hurt," said Diane Buckner who is a mother and grandmother in Pelham.
Wednesday was actually Hill's last day at Pelham High School. He had plans to take another job with the Deerfield-Windsor School in Albany.
Hill was booked at the Mitchell County Jail this morning, but has since bonded out on a $10,000 bond.

On Wednesday, May 28, 2014, Dennis Edward Hill, 41, of Albany, Georgia, was arrested at Pelham High School in Pelham, GA, for two counts of Computer Pornography and Child Exploitation. Hill is a teacher at Pelham High School and was arrested on the charges at approximately 7:40 AM. This was the result of a joint investigation of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Pelham Police Department.
Hill was taken to the Mitchell County Jail where he will be housed until a possible bond hearing.
