Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart reports that on Saturday the 30th day of March 2013, Sergeant Doug Haskell conducted a traffic stop on a 2013 Nissan Sedan for speeding. The vehicle was being driven by Vermon Terrell Lodman of Quincy, FL.

Upon walking up to the vehicle, Sergeant Haskell detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the Nissan. While taking enforcement action for the speeding violation, Sergeant Haskell requested consent to search the vehicle and Lodman agreed and granted consent.

During the search of the trunk area, Sergeant Haskell located a black nylon bag which contained a vacuum sealed plastic bag that contained 465 Clorazedate pills with another plastic bag that contained a large amount of U.S. Currency.
