The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office has received numerous complaints over the last several months about the sale of synthetic narcotics at the Wagon Wheel Food Mart located at 2269 US 27 E Perry. The complaints are related to substance abuse, addiction, minors in possession, etc. Several people from Taylor County have been committed to abuse centers and/or subject to Marchman Act for substance abuse.
The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into the sale of synthetic narcotics at the Wagon Wheel. During this investigation numerous confidential sources were utilized to obtain information about the sale of the drugs at the store and the effects of the drugs when used. These sources also assisted in controlled purchases of the drugs from the store. During these purchases both synthetic marijuana and cocaine (also referred to as bath salts) were obtained.
On Wednesday 08/29/2012 the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office arrested the owner/operator of the Wagon Wheel, Hui fang Liu AKA “Iris”, at the store. She is charged with three counts of Sale of Substance in Lieu of Narcotics (3 counts), and Distribution of Imitation Controlled Substance (3 counts). She is being held without bond in the Taylor County Jail.
