Tallahassee, Florida - December 9, 2012
At around 2:00 a.m., the Tallahassee Fire Department responded to a house fire in a single story home in the 6200 Block of Alamo Drive. Residents called 9-1-1 after hearing crackling noises.
One bedroom and contents of the home were heavily involved
in the fire when firefighters from Station 10 arrived. Fire crews extinguished the blaze and searched the home for victims. All three adult residents were accounted for.
No injuries were reported at the scene and damages from the fire were estimated at $60,000. The three residents will not be able to return to the home until necessary repairs are made.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined and is being investigated by the Tallahassee Fire Department and the State Fire Marshal's Office. LCSO also assisted TFD at the scene.
