Because of this, the information contained in these posts will be limited in nature as TPD’s top priority is for a timely resolution of the cases and to bring closure for those involved. This is also a “snapshot of weekend cases and should not be treated as a “complete list.”

Friday Afternoon-

Indecent Exposure; Resisting W/O Violence/ 2700 W. Pensacola Street
Victim reported suspect was masturbating in front of her in the complex fitness center. Suspect left the fitness center and victim called the police. Upon arrival and during interview victim saw the suspect at the pool area. Suspect was challenged and fled. After a short foot pursuit suspect was arrested at Taser point.
Arrested: Novello Robert Baker, Black Male, 11/10/88

Saturday-

Baker Act / 1875 CCNE (CVS) / 7:31 PM
Officers discovered the patient who appeared confused in the parking lot. She claimed she was robbed but could not provide any information and would laugh when asked further questions. She also claimed to have been shot but had no injuries. As she was unable to answer basic questions related to the year, her location, etc. she was taken into protective custody under a Baker Act and transported to PATH.
Patient: White Female

Theft / 1202 N. Magnolia Drive / 7:35pm
Walgreen's District Loss Prevention reported an employee who had been caught stealing medication. The employee had concealed 504 Lorazepram tablets inside the women's bathroom. They added that she had likely been doing this since May of 2013. More tablets were found in her direct possession after being booked into the jail.
Arrestee: Elizabeth J. Hastings, White Female, 7/27/1989

Armed Robbery / 1300 block of Stuckey Ave. / 3:55 PM
The victim stated he was walking along Stuckey Ave when four white males jumped out of a blue Ford pickup and pointed rifles at him. Victim stated one of the males went through his front pockets and then hit him with the butt of a rifle before they all got back into the truck and left the area. Victim was transported to a local hospital by LCEMS.

Aggravated Battery (Pregnant Victim-Domestic) / 3535 Roberts / 5:06 PM
Neighbors called stating a male was jumping on his pregnant wife and preventing her from leaving. The victim actually got out and left before we arrived. She was called back to the scene but was not fully cooperative with the interview. Her visible injuries and witness statements were used to establish probable cause. The male was arrested and transported without incident.
Victim: Black Female

Injured Person / 501 S Blairstone Rd / 1013pm
The victim was apparently attempting to park at the complex and possibly suffered an undetermined medical event and lost control of the car. When the victim exited the car she fell and struck the curb and sidewalk. LCEMS and TFD responded and performed CPR. The victim was transported to a local hospital by LCEMS. The victim was placed on life support. Eventually the victim recovered to the degree where she was breathing on her on and is in serious but stable condition. Due to the extent of the injuries and the unknown cause CID and forensics responded. It was also discovered that the victims’ blood alcohol level was .32

Wanted Person / 2105 Hagan Drive / 10:11pm
It was discovered Mr. Anjos had a warrant for Violation of Parole for a DUI. Arrest was made without incident.
Arrestee: Victor Dos Anjos, W/M, 08/13/84
Charge: VOP/DUI

Aggravated Assault on LEO / Monroe & Fifth Avenue / 10:52pm
Officer J. Aminson stopped the arrestee's vehicle for running a red light. While at the driver window Officer Aminson noticed drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. She ordered the arrestee to turn off the car and place the keys on the roof. The arrestee grabbed her right arm and pulled her inside the window instead. While holding onto Officer Aminson he drove forward dragging her along for approximately four to five feet. She managed to get free and notify dispatch. Through investigative measures a possible suspect was identified with an address in Gadsden County. Gasden County Sheriff’s Office responded to the address and made contact with the suspect's parents, who assisted in locating him and brought him to TPD headquarters where he was positively identified by Officer Aminson and arrested. The arrestee had several outstanding warrants for his arrest in addition to his new charge. Officer Aminson advised her right arm was sore but she was otherwise uninjured.

Aggravated Battery / 1522 Levy Av / 135am
Officers drove up on what appeared to be a physical altercation where a male subject was lying on the side of the roadway, bleeding from the back of the head. Officers summoned EMS while officers interviewed witnesses on scene. Officers determined that a witness saw the suspect strike the victim, who then fell to the ground. Upon falling, Mr. Byrd struck his head on the curb of the sidewalk. Mr. Byrd was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Suspect: Black Male

Home Invasion Robbery / 1246 Continental Ct / 436am
At approximately 4:36AM, the Tallahassee Police Department responded to 1246 Continental Ct in reference to a Home Invasion Robbery. When officers arrived on scene, they learned 39-year-old Keith Pemberton found two unknown suspects in his residence. Pemberton and suspects engaged in a struggle, during the struggle Pemberton sustained a gunshot wound to the lower back. Pemberton was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Suspects: 2-b/m’s wearing all black with masks, 6’00”, 200#’s.

Wanted Person / 3300 Capital Circle Southwest (Tallahassee Regional Airport) / 520pm
The arrestee was making harassing phone calls to ex-girlfriend/victim, who is an Airport employee. The victim called to report harassing phone calls by the suspect and he showed up on the front curb a short while later. During the course of the investigation it was found that the arrestee had a warrant for Driving While License Suspended or Revoked out of Wakulla County. He was arrested without incident.

Sunday

Robbery/ Wallis and Calhoun
Victim met a black female (Unknown name) at a dance at Club Pierre on Saturday night. On this date the suspect female called the victim and asked if he could give her a ride. Female had the victim drive to an area of town unfamiliar to him. Victim advised while driving he noticed 3 black males walking north also along the road. The female told the victim to pull over which he did and the 3 black males ran to victim’s vehicle and robbed him. The female and suspects then ran into an apartment complex. Generic description was given of suspect black males. Victim refused medical treatment. Robbery Unit was notified
Victim: Hector A Mendez Hispanic Male 6-12-80
Female Suspect: Black Female- Wearing Yellow wig with red pants
Male suspects: 3 B/M’s 20-30 years of age, no shirts wearing black shorts, clean cut short hair

Grand Theft / 939 W Gaines St / 6:43 PM
The arrestee was seen walking near vehicles parked in the parking lot of Bob’s Auto Repair while the business was closed. He was found to be in possession of multiple items whose ownership could not be determined. Fortunately, the owner of one cell phone was contacted and responded. She confirmed it had been stolen.

Charges: Grand Theft
