TPD Investigating Early Morning Shooting

[UPDATE] Tallahassee, Florida- August 30, 20120 7:35pm

A woman is hospitalized tonight after being injured in a shooting. That shooting happened early this morning around 3 a.m.

Tallahassee Police say a woman was shot around 3 this morning at the corner of Tennessee Street and Ocala Road.

Not too many details are being released at this time, including the victim's name, but we do know she's being treated at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for what's described as non-life-threatening injuries. At last check we're told she's still at the hospital.

Investigators say right now they are following all available leads and urge anyone with information to contact them. They remind you, you can remain anonymous.

Tallahassee, Florida- August 30, 2012

The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a shooting incident. Last night at approximately 3:00AM, TPD officers were called to the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for a gunshot victim. The female victim reported the incident occurred in the area of Tennessee Street and Ocala Road. She suffered a non-life threatening injury and is currently undergoing treatment.

Investigators from TPD’s Criminal Investigation Division Homicide Unit are currently following all leads and interviewing witnesses. Community members with information about this case are asked to call TPD at 891-4200 or the Big Bend Crime Stoppers at 574-TIPS. Crime Stoppers does not want your name, just your information and you may be eligible for a cash reward.

The name of the victim is not being released at this time.
