The search is on tonight for a suspect accused of opening fire in broad daylight.
It happened Monday afternoon on South Meridian Street. Someone called 911 to report "shots fired."
When police got there they found a 37 year old man who had been shot in the leg. He was treated at the hospital.
Officers consider it an armed robbery. They have identified the suspect, have warrants for his arrest and are looking for him now.

At least one person was shot and the person who pulled that trigger this afternoon is still on the loose.
WCTV Eyewitness News was able to speak with investigators at the 2200 block of south meridian street just off of magnolia - the area was blocked off earlier but police left around 3pm.
TPD aren't releasing many details right now, but we know one person was shot at 2221 South Meridian Street in Tallahassee around 1:15 Monday afternoon.
TPD won't say if they are looking for more than one person, or if they have any suspects identified.
TPD won't release any identifying information about the victim, they just tell us the victim was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
We also don't know if anyone involved lived in the apartment complex.
