A third man is now behind bars for a deadly shooting near the North Florida Fairgrounds.

Those shots were fired from a passing car and Tallahassee Police have arrested a 20 year old who they say was in the front seat that night.

Christopher Simmons is accused of murder and attempted murder. Simmons is the third man to be accused of killing 16 year old Chadric Anderson and shooting another teen - who survived.

Witnesses say the shots were fired from the back seat of an "old school" blue Cutlass. Police have already arrested the driver, Calvin Riley, and the accused gunman Trevon Dennis.

Tallahassee, Fla. -- Police have arrested a man in connection with a deadly shooting that took place near the North Florida Fairgrounds back in November.

20-year-old Calvin Riley was arrested Friday, January 10, 2014 for the fatal shooting that claimed the life of 16-year-old, Chadric Anderson, and injured another minor.

The other victim, 14, told police he and Anderson were walking along Paul Russell Rd. when a car drove by and a backseat passenger started shooting; eyewitnesses corroborated the account.

The investigation led police to Riley, who was the driver of the suspect vehicle, as well as a passenger, Christopher Simmons.

Riley's accounts of the evening changed throughout the course of the investigation, as evidence disproving his statements was presented. During Simmons' interview, he told police that he heard gunshots behind him, but that they did not come from the vehicle he was in.

Both ended up admitting that there was a third individual in the backseat of the vehicle, but that they didn't know his name.

Riley was arrested on Friday and charged with First Degree Murder.

Tallahassee, FL - Investigators return Monday to the scene of a shooting that left one Tallahassee teenager dead and another teen hurt. The shooting happened over the weekend near the fairgrounds.

A close friend of the family says 16-year-old Chadric Anderson was a great young man with a bright future, who leaves behind a caring mother, siblings, and friends who are taking his death hard.

The Tallahassee Police Department Forensics Unit pulled out a shovel and a metal detector to probe along Paul Russell Road near the fairgrounds and Cox Stadium Monday. Officers say they were looking for evidence in the weekend murder of 16-year-old Chadric Anderson.

Tallahassee resident Samuel Price says he knew Anderson. "I just lost my brother, too, in May of 2011. So, I already know what his mama is going through. I feel bad for her."

Police say Anderson was shot just before 1:00 Saturday morning on the side of Paul Russell Road.

A 14-year-old was also shot. He survived and was treated at the hospital.

Seventeen-year-old Willie Miller says he went to school with Anderson in the past at Rickards High School. Miller says he'd just seen Anderson at the fair Friday night. He says, "It hurts me right now. That was like a close friend to me. He didn't really have no beef with a lot of people. He always tried to help others. He was a cool cat. He was very cool, nice."

Leon County Schools District administrators say Anderson withdrew from Rickards early last year.

More than a dozen officers were back on the scene Monday. Police also scoured the nearby soccer and baseball field of Jack McClean Park for clues.

Miller says, "I don't know why he died. But, I feel like whatever he died about, I feel like it was petty."

The identity of the surviving 14-year-old has not been released. No arrest have been made.

Police have not said if they found anything out there while canvassing the areas, but, we will pass along any new information as soon as it becomes available.
