Officers were responding to a call of shots being fired behind the LaQuinta Inn on North Monroe Street in Tallahassee Wednesday.

Minutes later, police were called out to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital where a male arrived with a gunshot wound.

"We believe those calls are related," said TPD spokesperson Dave Northway. "We had officers respond to both locations and what, we, our initial investigation shows that we believe there was a robbery that had just occurred."

TPD says a second person was seen running from the original scene to the Super 8 Motel next door. That person is also being treated for minor injuries.

"In a case like that where you have actually three different locations that you have to cover it's very manpower intensive."

TPD has not released the names of the two men involved.
