Thomas University Professor Jack Zito recently wrote and printed the book “The Sicilian Experience of Mr. Benny: The Five-Generation Saga of a Sicilian American Family.”
The book begins by detailing the early life of Zito’s grandfather in Sicily and continues through the generations, including Zito’s grandfather’s immigration to the United States through Ellis Island.
On Wednesday, Sept. 12, Zito and Thomas University officials donated two copies of the book to the Thomas County Library.
Participating in the donation were Melinda Friddell, TU Director Alumni Relations and Special Events; Rick Munroe, TU Vice President for Advancement; Nancy Tillinghast, Director of the Thomas County Public Library System; and Zito.
