Tallahassee's Parade of Homes kicked off this weekend.

Twenty builders presented twenty seven homes all over Tallahassee, all competing for Tallahassee's Builder's Association Awards.

Folks were able to tour the homes Saturday and Sunday and vote for a People's Choice Award.

One woman showed off her interior design for the first time in the parade of homes.

She says the event drew hundreds to her newly built and designed home.

"Mainly what I'm seeing, what I saw yesterday was people come out for inspiration. They are starting a remodeling project. They are starting a building project and they need ideas. A lot of people are opening up drawers, figuring out the kitchen and how things work," Elaine Ford, Home #27 Interior Designer.

The Parade of Homes awards banquet will be held Thursday at Hotel Duval at 6:30pm.
