Tallahassee, FL-November 24, 2012
Lofty Pursuits in Tallahassee is making handmade candy canes.
The shop is just one of a handful in the entire country that still makes candy canes by hand.
The candy canes take about 40 minutes to make. Each batch makes about 80 candy canes.
The candy canes come in many flavors including cherry, eggnog and citrus.
"It's a lot of fun because people come in and they've never seen anything like it before so when they react because you're just blown their minds, it's really neat. It's really rewarding," says candy cane maker, Wes Raley.
Lofty Pursuits makes the canes from now until January. You can stop by the store and watch them be made from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday through Monday.
