Tallahassee, FL-The Red Hills International Horse Trials are less than a week away. And one Tallahassee equestrian is getting ready to compete in front of her hometown crowd.

Rebecca Willner competed in last year's competition.

Willner says she's been riding since she was four. But she says having the chance to compete in front of her family and friends means the world to her.

"It's a little bit of pride. Yeah you do put in a lot of time and hard work, so you want to make them proud and they get to see the whole partnership in action. It's pretty neat," said Willner.

Willner says she's been training with her horse, Troubadour Hall, for Red Hills for about three months.

She says they've been working on strength training and the gallop in preparation for Red Hills.

The Red Hill Trials start this Friday.
