Tallahassee Named First Capital Purple Heart City in the Nation [SLIDE SHOW]

Tallahassee, Florida- September 12, 2012

The City of Tallahassee Mayor John Marks and fellow commissioners take the time to announce Tallahassee as the first Capital Purple Heart City in the nation.

Mayor Marks made a pledge to contact every mayor of a capital city in the U.S. to ask them to make their cities Purple Heart cities. Veterans who spoke made a plea to the crowd at the commission meeting to help them find homeless veterans to help them benefit from veteran services.
