Shots were fired in downtown Tallahassee today near the intersection of Meridian Street and Magnolia Drive.

A witness tells Eyewitness News that she heard four of five shots fired near the Quick Mart on the corner of Meridian.

That's when the witness, Kai Reed, who lives in a neighboring apartment complex, said she saw a man jump the fence running away from the shots.

According to Reed, the man then pulled his own gun out of his pocket right in front of her door.

"I mean once I saw that I ran in my room because I didn't know if he was going to start shooting or I didn't know if he got confused and thought-- I didn't know I didn't know. But, I just didn't want to be no where near that gun because it could be me," said Reed.

Police arrived on scene moments later but by that time the suspects had fled. At this time the Tallahassee Police have no suspects or information on anyone being injured.

If you have any information about the shooting you are asked to call the Tallahassee Police Department 850-891-4200.
