Tallahassee Police Apprehend Wal-Mart Robbery Suspect

A man wanted for robbing a local Walmart is nabbed by police.

The Tallahassee Police Department arrested Benjamin Millership earlier this week.

Authorities say Millership went into the Walmart on Apalachee Parkway back on April 20, 2014, loaded up a shopping cart, and got into a fight with a security guard as he tried to leave the store.

Millership ended up running out.

Shortly after this story aired on WCTV, police say they got several calls from folks identifying him.

April 23, 2014 - 1pm

At approximately 8:45pm on April 20, 2014 a white male was in the Walmart at 3535 Apalachee Parkway. The male attempted to steal numerous items and was confronted by a store employee as he tried to leave. The male began to fight with the employee and subsequently left the area on foot in an unknown direction. The Tallahassee Police Department was called to the store and began its investigation.

TPD’s Robbery and Violent Crimes Unit have assumed the investigation and are pursuing all leads in this case. The suspect is described as a white male approximately 40-50 years old, with collar length salt and pepper hair. It is possible he arrived with another subject in a dark colored sedan.
