Tallahassee, FL-One local city is making the grade as one of the 'top college towns' in the country.
Tallahassee made the American Institute for Economic Research's list of 75 best colleges towns in 2012-2013.
The city came in 10th among 'small metro areas.'
The study considered several factors when evaluating those cities including academics, culture and quality of life.
"I think it's a good college town for students because I'm an out-of-state student and the friends that I have made here have come from different cities and states. I feel like a lot of the students can connect with the student that attend the other universities in Tallahassee," said Bria Bennett, a student at FAMU.
Gainesville finished 4th in that category. Ann Arbor, Michigan; Madison, Wisconsin; and Boulder, Colorado round out the top-three.
