Tallahassee, FL - Members of the Tallahassee Urban League say they're now equipped to serve families better.

The organization's office building on Old Bainbridge Road has been renovated.

Community leaders and officials celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday morning.

Members say the building will further help them fulfill their mission to provide housing, economic, and self-help assistance.

The building was also renamed after the Tallahassee Urban League's president and CEO, Reverend Ernest Ferrell.

Rev. Ferrell says, "Not too many people in Tallahassee can have this. I'm just feel that some reason some way or another, people seem to think that I'm worthy of this. But, I'm just happy to make an impact."

The Tallahassee Urban League is hosting its anniversary dinner. It started at 6 p.m. at the Al Lawson Center.

The proceeds help go to the league's services.
