Sunday marks a major day in Florida's history.
Tons of people traveled to downtown Tallahassee to commemorate Emancipation Day in Florida.
This was part of a week full of events, reminding people of the importance of freedom.
This afternoon's event included a re-enactment from General Edward McCook who read the Emancipation Proclamation on the footsteps of the Knott museum back in 1865.
