Teen Injured, Arrested In Valdosta Arson & Burglary

On October 6, 2013 at approximately 11:48 am, the Valdosta Police Department and the Valdosta Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 708 Lausanne Drive. Officers arrived and saw smoke and flames coming from the residence.

Patrick Mack was located just outside the side door of the residence and was transported by EMS to SGMC ER for smoke inhalation. The fire department extinguished the fire and advised that the fire had been started in the living room.

The owner of the residence, Eddie McDonald, arrived on scene and indicated that the residence is currently vacant. A Valdosta Police Department Arson Investigator responded to assist in the investigation and after Mack was released from the ER, he was transported to the Valdosta Police Department for questioning.

Mack was arrested for Arson and Burglary and he was transported to the Lowndes County Jail. No one else was injured during the incident.
