Tallahassee, FL - People who drive down Tennessee street during the night know all to well about the construction on the busy road.
Tennessee is a main gateway to Florida State and the Florida Department of Transportation consistently performs construction activity along the road, especially near the Bronough and Macomb intersections.
Transportation officials announced that starting Thursday, Nov. 14 through Saturday, Nov. 16, they will suspend all construction on the road, which means there will be no lane closures.
They say the reason is for FSU Homecoming activities this weekend.
FDOT plans to resume working on Tennessee Street Sunday, Nov. 17 at 8 p.m.
When it does continue, they remind people to be aware and use caution when driving through a construction area.
