Tallahassee, FL -- October 25, 2011 --

There's something strange going on, on Gaines Street. It's the thirteenth annual 'Terror of Tallahassee."

The haunted house has an array of spooktacular frights. From a mad scientist's lab to an executioner's guillotine. The twenty thousand square foot haunted house has frights for everyone.

"It's always a challenge to show scenes on video and stuff because what it really is is the ambiance and tension once you come through there. Once those steel doors shut that's when the screaming begins..", says Kurt Kuersteiner executive director of Terror of Tallahassee.

It takes about fifty actors to put on the show. And Kuersteiner says about a third of their proceeds are donated to local charities like the Boy Scouts of America. The group raised several thousand dollars last year and hopes to do the same this year.. Doors to the Terror of Tallahassee open at 8 p.m. Thursday.

I have two children that are "actors" in the Haunted House. They have so much fun doing this every year. One of mine does the "Mad Scientist" occasionally, and the other one "floats" through out the house. They try not to touch people, but occasionally they do accidentally bump people if there is a large crowd. It is the best Haunted House around, and well worth the money you spend on it. And they work very hard to put on a great "ghostly" production every year.

I went thinking it was a normal haunted house, but the place is HUGE. Much bigger than it looks on the outside. I went to Universal (last year) and this place is a lot longer than their haunts and much more intense. BEEN THERE is right, you can't predict WHAT is going to happen next, you never know who is running around you, and it really starts to creep you out! It was a great place to take my date. She grabbed hold of me tight the entire time, ha-ha!
