Tallahassee, FL -ShouldThe Shelter, in Tallahassee, has received a lot of heat with the allegations of sexual harassment and mistreatment of the homeless.

"There was definitely inappropriate things going on," said Renee Miller, a Missionary.

That was a month ago, now Tallahassee City Commissioners are talking about moving the Shelter to help shed a new light on the refuge.

"I think we are all convinced that perhaps not having the Shelter there will help with that revitalization," said Gil Ziffer, a Tallahassee City Commissioner.

There was talk about having multiple Shelter locations in the area, but no concrete plan was reached.

The Shelter Board has not voted on the expansion yet, but on the phone the Vice Chair of the Shelter Board said, they are looking at all their different options.

"The Board of Directors has come to the conclusion that they can't adequately meet all the needs of the different groups," said Ziffer. "They need a bigger facility so they can solve the growing and very needs of the homeless population."

The Community Redevelopment Agency, a community organization to help enhance areas economically, and the city--will work together If the expansion goes through.

A Shelter Board member said the United Way of the Big Bend will soon have an announcement on their decision to expand.
