Thomasville, GA - A Thomasville man learns a lesson the hard way after going to extremes to escape arrest.
Thomasville narcotics officers arrested Nathaniel McIntyre after learning he was selling cocaine out of his home at 501 North Young Street.
Before authorities were able to take McIntyre into custody he swallowed several pieces of crack cocaine in an effort to avoid arrest.
"He was getting sick so we called Thomas County EMS. He said he had eaten 7 or 8 pieces of crack cocaine. When we entered the residence Thomas County EMS would transport him to the hospital," said LT. Kevin Lee, Thomas County - Thomasville Narcotics and Vice Division.
After being treated at the hospital McIntyre was taken to Thomas County Jail. He is charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell and obstructing an officer.
