Thomasville Police Arrest Two Suspects In Separate Burglaries

On June 28, 2013 at approximately 8:30 A.M., officers responded to a theft of a washing machine. As officers were responding a male was seen by officers pushing what appeared to be an appliance.

Upon getting out with the male, it was discovered that he was in possession of two air conditioner units. After arriving at the residence on Young street, officers discovered that no washing machine was taken, however, two air conditioners had been taken from windows at 514 North Young Street.

Owners of the residents verified that the air conditioners were taken from that location. The Male identified as Roger E. Davis (51),Thomasville, was taken into custody and charged one (1) count of burglary. Davis is in the Thomas County Jail on a 5100.00 Bond

On June 29, 2013 at approximately 5:30 A.M. an officer was investigating an illegally parked Dodge Carvan parked behind 107 East Jackson St. (Jonah’s Fish and Grits).

As the officer was looking at the vehicle, he observed a male walk from an Alley and get into the van. As the officer approached the van, a male exited the van and stated to the officer that he had broken into Jonah’s. The male stated to the officer that bag in his pocket was to put money in. Officer observed a glass door of the business had been broken and a large rock just inside the door.

The male John Robert Nestale (32), Thomasville, was taken into custody and charged with one (1) count of burglary. Nestale is in the Thomas County Jail on a 3600. Bond.

This was great police work by our officers in both incidents. All of their training and patrol experience came into play and we are glad that we were able to get these people into custody and off the street.
