Music was definitely in the air at the eight annual Wanee Festival which was founded by the Allman Brothers Band.
One fan said "I will definitely be back every year! This is my first time, I love it!"
Close to 40 different bands descended on Suwannee County along with more than 30,000 music lovers.. which the artists could sense.
Michael Franti of Spearhead said "we've never played the Wanee Festival and the vibe out here is so great, the music is so great, but there's a real sense of community."

The Peach stage hosted the festivals headliners which included Tedeschi Trucks Band, Widespread Panic, Spearhead and, of course, the Allman Brothers Band.
Warren Haynes joined the Allman Brothers in 1989... Nearly 25 years later he's doing exactly what he wants.
Haynes said "we invite people to come and experience something that we recommend. And so we want it to be something that people are going to enjoy and when they get here they come from all over."
Jimmy Herring is the lead guitarist for Widespread Panic. He said "it's always a kick in the pants and it makes you realize how much you've got to work on musically when you turn around and over your shoulder every where you look you see somebody great."
The Wanee Music Festival was first held in 2005 and has since grown into the largest music festival in Suwannee County.
