Showers got an early start today - fairly light stuff in the first wave. There will be a lull in the action for a bit and then more showers and storms coming back to the area later this morning and in the afternoon.
We all have a pretty good shot for some decent accumulation of rain today - maybe more than one inch. Highest amounts should be to the west and north, but there will be showers and storms all over the place thru the afternoon.
Clearing will be slow tonight, drying too. A secondary push of cooler and drier comes through tomorrow afternoon - that means a cooler start for Saturday but a brighter weekend forecast.
Temps today likely struggle to get out of the 60s, lows tonight in the 50s. Highs tomorrow and all weekend into the 70s, but lows Sat and Sun should fall to the low 40s...
