Grady County, GA - A man made lake 70 years in the making is inching closer to reality.
The 960 acre lake is called Tired Creek and the project was first proposed in the 1930's and again in the 1970's. It stalled both times because of financial issues. County leaders believe it will happen this time and will also bring money to the county.
"We hope eventually that a lot of jobs will be created, a lot of visitors will come to Grady County and that there will be a lot of tourism because of this project," said Carlos Tobar, Grady County Administrator.
Officials say the project will cost about $30 million and should be completed by December.
