Transformer Wires Fall On Vehicle

Updated: Fri 11:37 PM, Dec 28, 2012

A transformer crashes to the ground causing wires to fall on top of a vehicle in Tallahassee.

Sharon Dubose feels lucky to be alive after transformer wires fell on top of her vehicle Friday night around 6:20 p.m.

She was turning into a parking lot off of South Monroe Street when a big-rig clipped several power lines taking the transformer down.

"The transformer fell off the top of the building and it exploded into flames and it like blinded me and I couldn't see anything," recalled Dubose.

Fire officials were cautious attempting to free the truck driver because of the downed power lines. Dubose says it was help from above that helped her through the accident.

"Just called on the name of the Lord and when I called him, Jesus, it's like the flames just went out."
