Two Fires Set in Tallahassee Home

Two separate fires were set in a Tallahassee home just before midnight Tuesday.

Neighbors spotted dark smoke coming from the attic of a home at 1507 Lake Avenue and saw flames beneath the house.

Firefighters say one fire burned a hole through the bathroom floor and another fire in a bedroom closet was out when they got there.

The house is vacant, but neighbors say transients have been squatting there.

It has been ruled an arson. The state fire marshal's office is investigating.
