Tallahassee, Florida- August 13, 2012

Two men are now behind bars for breaking into and stealing items from a local church.

Ryan Johnson, 26, and Cobie Connell, 28, broke into two buildings owned by New Home Baptist Church in Perry, according to the Perry Police Department.

Captain Jamie Cruse with Perry PD said the men stole DVDs and computers...items equaling up to more than $2,000.

The police notified local businesses who pawn and sell items.

That's when one store owner recognized the stolen items and called authorities.

The suspects went to go get more items and returned to the store only to find Captain Cruse waiting for them.

They were taken to the Taylor County jail and charged with burglary, grand theft and dealing in stolen property.
