Fox News Poll: Obama Tops Romney in Post-Convention Poll

An increase in support from women as well as independents gives Barack Obama a post-convention advantage over challenger Mitt Romney. The president receives a five percentage-point bounce among women and a 12-point bounce among independents, in a Fox News poll released Wednesday.

Overall, the Obama-Biden ticket tops the Romney-Ryan ticket by 48 to 43 percent among likely voters. The president’s advantage is within the poll’s margin of sampling error.

Fox News poll: Most say country still in recession, needs to change course

Less than two months before Election Day, most likely voters think the country is still in a recession, and a majority thinks the economy will improve faster if the country changes course rather than stays the course.

That’s according to a Fox News poll released Wednesday.

Fully 80 percent of likely voters believe the recession continues -- that includes 44 percent who think things are nevertheless getting better and 36 percent who say things could get worse.
