Thomasville, GA- Kanetria Flemming says her kids, like most, drink a lot of milk. She says that's also what made her 8 month old son and two-year-old daughter extremely sick.
"The parents of the child had stated that their kids had been real sick with vomiting and diarrhea. She said the only thing that they had recently was some milk," said Detective Louis Schofill, with the Thomasville Police Department.
Thomasville Police said the milk had been given to the children back on March 31st.
At the time, Flemming said the milk appeared to be fine, but within an hour or so, the kids became violently ill and that's when she realized something was terribly wrong.
"My youngest son, he was crying for a bottle so I went downstairs to fix him a bottle and his milk was like a brown color and it smelled like bleach," said Flemming.
Police say evidence pointed to the children's uncle, 19-year-old Taji Glenn, who was living with his sister and the children at the time.
Investigators say it appears he poisoned the children to get back at his sister.
"Mr. Glenn's girlfriend and the mother of the children got into an argument about some clothing," said Detective Schofill. "There was some speculation that this argument over clothing led to the bleach getting put into the milk and damaging the children."
Glenn was arrested Monday morning and taken to Thomas County Jail.
He's charged with two counts of cruelty to children and two counts of aggravated assault.
Flemming said thankfully, both babies have recovered and are back to living healthy, active lives.
