Members of the military were auctioned off at an event Monday at the Tallahassee VFW.
It's called 'Draft A Date'. Both men and women who served in the military and ROTC members at FSU were bid on by the community and the student body.
The question is 'what do the winners do with their dates?'
"We leave that up to each auctionee and winning bidder," laughed organizer Signe Thomas.
Ryan Taylor was one of those 'auctionees'.
"It's really great to see all the students from Florida State out here kind of supporting student veterans and ROTC candidates supporting the military in general seeing a blending of the military culture and the collegiate lifestyle," said Taylor
The event was put on by the Thank A Solider organization. All money raised will go toward care packages to troops overseas. The event brought in more than $4,000.
