Valdosta, GA - Valdosta State University is changing the way employers recruit job candidates.
Companies in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, or STEM, will be able to review potential employees during their 1st Annual Online Career Fair starting Monday and ending Sunday. Those seeking jobs in STEM fields will be able to post their resume online, where employers will be able to review them, and set up interviews from there.
"Well, it's exciting because it's a new way to bring students and employers together in one area; in the cloud, as we would say, online. It's just a trend that's going to be happening", says Kevin Taylor, Associate Director of Career Opportunities at VSU.
The STEM Online Career Fair is open to all current VSU students and alum. For more information, visit valdosta.edu/career, or call 229-333-5942.
