Valdosta Armed Robbery

Sheriff Prine has released the below statement;

This afternoon, around 2:00 deputies and investigators responded to 5005 North Oak Street Extension to the report of an armed robbery. The resident, a ninety {90} year old female reported that while outside her home an unknown male approached her with a handgun and demanded money. The male followed the victim into the home and was given a sum of cash and then fled the area on foot.

Tracking dogs from the Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit also responded but were unable to establish and follow a track for any distance. Investigators and Crime Scene personnel remained at the scene until late in the afternoon.

The male offender is described as a black male, possibly in his mid to late 20’s, wearing a red-in-color shirt, dark long pants and had short to medium length hair.
