Valdosta Man Arrested For Killing His Brother

Valdosta, GA - A Valdosta man is behind bars after killing his brother.

36-year old Thomas "TJ" Graddy was shot multiple times in his chest in the living room of his home at 610 Old Statenville Road in Valdosta, just south of downtown.

Police say his 22-year old half brother Zebeedee Hankerson shot him just before 8 pm Sunday night using a hand gun. Hankerson did not live in that house.

Police say Thomas Grady was pronounced dead on the scene. Police say they believe they have gleaned the motive through their investigation but will not comment on it.

Hankerson was arrested on the scene without incident and charged with voluntary manslaughter and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. He is currently in Lowndes County Jail.
