Valdosta Man Arrested on Drug, Firearm Charges

VALDOSTA, Ga. -- A man is in jail after Valdosta Police launched an investigation following multiple complaints of drug activity on University Drive in Valdosta.

Friday Morning, VPD Narcotics Detectives, along with help from local and state authorities, seized 95.2 grams of marijuana, 3.8 grams of cocaine, 1.9 grams of crack cocaine, 26 Hydrocodone pills and a 9mm handgun.

Tommy Renard Green, 42, of Valdosta was arrested. He has been charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of a schedule II narcotic, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

Green also has active felony warrants from Alachua County, Florida for narcotics sales and possession.

He is currently in Lowndes County Jail.
