Press Release: Georgia Lottery
ATLANTA – A Valdosta woman has collected a plentiful prize from the Georgia Lottery. Tonya Howard, 44, won a $175,000 top prize playing the instant game Bingo Mania.
The mother of two claimed her prize Monday at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Tifton.
A B Food, 607 E. Hill Ave. in Valdosta, sold the winning ticket.
“I’m happy. I had a lucky feeling that this would happen the day before,” Howard said. “I’m going to buy a new car.”
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $14.8 billion to the state of Georgia for education.
